The sixth show on the second day was a resounding success, drawing an enthusiastic crowd and selling out completely. Hundreds of additional spectators watched the event on screens outside the main venue, eager to be part of the excitement.
The ceremonial lamp was lit by H.E. Firat Sunel, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Rakesh Vaid, Founder of Usha Fabs Pvt. Ltd., and renowned actor Radha Bhatt. Each of these distinguished guests shared their heartfelt appreciation for the event. H.E. Firat Sunel remarked, “I have never seen such excitement for a show like this. I wish I could attend all the shows.” Radha Bhatt and Rakesh Vaid also expressed their admiration for the event’s grandeur and impact.
The AAFT designers were thrilled to participate in this meticulously planned international show, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. The event highlighted the art and culture of various countries through beautifully crafted garments:
Nepal: Showcased by Shoaib, Kiran, and Rifa. Turkey: Represented by Aman, Kunal, Shivani, Keshav, and Shivangi Pundir. Hungary: Cultural influences seen in the garments by Imran. United Kingdom: Displayed by Shubham. Belgium: Cultural elements clearly visible in the designs of Aditi Verma. India: Showcased by Misthy. Malawi: Highlighted through garments designed by Ishita Jain.
Adding to the event’s cultural richness, a Coffee Table Book titled “Struggles of Boys” was launched, designed by Rishabh Soni, a student of Fashion Communication. This book explores the challenges and triumphs of young men, offering a poignant look at their experiences.
The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 has proven to be a remarkable platform for budding designers to showcase their talent and creativity on an international stage. It celebrates the convergence of global cultures and the unifying power of fashion.
