126th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films Inaugurated with Global Dignitaries at Marwah Studios
Noida: The historic 126th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and international participation, reaffirming its status as the most consistent and path-breaking short film festival in the world.

The festival was inaugurated by Abdul Dewale Mohammed, Founder President of AASGON (UK), along with a distinguished panel of global and Indian personalities including Grigorii Pelman, Promoter of Creative Arts from Israel; Ruhi Hak, Founder of I HOPE—a mission dedicated to aiding underprivileged children in the USA; Anita Chandradath Singh, a noted creative personality from Trinidad and Tobago; Col. Atul Saxena, representing the social organization Kahin Gum Na Ho Jaye; and AAFT alumnus Shivanesan Siva, a renowned cinematographer from Chennai.

A wide range of short digital films from emerging filmmakers were screened throughout the day, showcasing diverse themes, innovative storytelling, and fresh cinematic voices from across the globe.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder-President of AAFT and Vice President of Film Federation of India, stated, “We are once again breaking our own world record. The AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films is the only festival in the world to reach its 126th edition. Over the years, we have provided a golden opportunity to more than 3,600 directors to showcase their debut films, many of whom have gone on to make a mark in the global film industry.”

All the dignitaries shared their views one by one, applauding AAFT’s unparalleled commitment to nurturing new talent, promoting meaningful cinema, and creating an inclusive international platform for young filmmakers.

The excitement at the venue was palpable. Filmmakers and participants associated with the festival expressed being overwhelmed by the grandeur, scale, and global stature of the event, making the 126th edition yet another memorable milestone in AAFT’s illustrious journey of cinematic excellence.
