Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Remembered at 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026
Noida: The legacy of legendary freedom fighter and journalist Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was fondly remembered during a special session at the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The tribute was organized by the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Forum of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI).

Sushil Bharti spoke about the objectives and activities of the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Forum, highlighting its mission to promote fearless, ethical, and socially responsible journalism inspired by the ideals of Vidyarthi Ji. He emphasized that the Forum is committed to encouraging young journalists to uphold truth, justice, and national integrity in their reporting.

Addressing the audience, Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the International Journalism Centre, underlined the relevance of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi’s principles in today’s media landscape. “Vidyarthi Ji stood for courage, communal harmony, and justice. His life is a guiding light for journalists who believe in constructive and responsible journalism,” he said.

On the occasion, a special poster dedicated to Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was formally launched by eminent dignitaries including Tirath Singh Rawat, Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand; Shahnawaz Ahmad Ansari, Communication Leader & CSR Strategist; Dr. Vipin Gaur, General Secretary, Newspapers Association of India; Kim Myong Chol, First Secretary, Embassy of DPR Korea; BK Husain Didi; and Dr. Amit Pareenja, Certified International Management Consultant & Coach.

The dignitaries appreciated the initiative of honoring one of India’s most respected journalist-reformers at an international platform dedicated to journalism and media education. The session concluded with a collective pledge to continue promoting ethical reporting, social harmony, and dedication to truth in the spirit of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi.
