Community Activities - Legal Literacy Mission Launched at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida

Noida, India: The Legal Literacy Mission, a powerful and timely initiative aimed at creating awareness about the basic laws, rights, and duties of citizens of India, was formally launched at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The mission was inaugurated by Senior Advocates P. R. Sikka and Girish Buttan, along with Advocate Murari Tewari, Former President of the Delhi Bar Council, in the presence of eminent members of the legal fraternity and concerned citizens.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), highlighted the importance of legal awareness in strengthening democracy and nation-building. He stated that an informed citizen is the foundation of a strong and disciplined country, and initiatives like the Legal Literacy Mission play a crucial role in empowering society through knowledge of law.

Senior Advocate P. R. Sikka spoke in detail about the mission and vision of the Legal Literacy Mission, emphasizing the need to educate citizens about their constitutional rights and fundamental duties. He stressed that legal literacy fosters discipline, justice, and social harmony.

Senior Advocate Girish Buttan elaborated on the objectives and activities of the newly formed forum. He outlined plans for legal awareness programs, seminars, workshops, and interactive sessions aimed at reaching diverse sections of society, including youth and underserved communities.

Advocate Murari Tewari, Former President of the Delhi Bar Council, shared his views on the importance of such initiatives, stating that spreading legal knowledge at the grassroots level is essential for building a responsible and law-abiding society.
